2014 is the Year of the Repeat Homebuyer
As prices continue to escalate, more and more people are entering into positive equity. Many will be able to finally go ahead and sell their house without bringing money to the table, without short selling and impacting their credit. There’s a pent up demand of people currently wanting to make the move, and they just couldn’t do it over the last couple of years.
This is going to be a major part of the market as we go into 2014. A lot of homeowners are going to sell and move up, move down, move sideways, but they’re going to move. As a matter of fact, Trulia called 2014 the year of the repeat homebuyer.
You may have leads already in your old pipeline. People who contacted you back in 12 and early 13, who were interested in moving but decided to stay and stick it out until the market turned.
