Every Time a Home is Sold You Are Helping the Economy

As most of us know there are some great benefits being in the real estate business. Like helping people achieve homeownership, finding that perfect home, saving a family money, creating wealth and the ability to make a great living.

But did you know that you are also helping change the economy in your state every single time you sell a house?

As a real estate agent, loan officer, underwriter, closer, processor, title rep, appraiser and everyone else who helps facilitate a real estate closing you are assisting in the overall local economy of your state.

Want some proof?

Check out this chart with data collected by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, Census, NAHB, NAR and Macroeconomic Advisors.

Total Economic Impact of a Home Sale

This chart shows the total income derived from every sale of a home per state. To get specific information for your state visit

http://www.realtor.org/reports/state-by-state-economic-impact-of-real-estate-activity

From the chart above you can see every time a home is sold in Colorado the economic impact is better by $67,000. In Colorado the real estate industry accounted for 16.3% of the gross state product in 2012.

So be proud of what you do, this is a great industry we are in and it’s important that you know how much of a positive impact you have with your clients and the local economy.

Now go out and help sell a home for goodness sake,

A lot of people are counting on you!
